Cynthia is a founding Principal of Stewart & Kett Financial Advisors Inc. She is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), Certified Financial Planner (CFP – FP Canada™ Fellow), Trust and Estate Practitioner (TEP), and a Master Financial Advisor – Philanthropy (MFA-P™). She is a University of British Columbia (BCom) alumna.

About Cynthia

Cynthia has practised accounting, tax, and financial planning since 1984. Her love for a diverse client and community base sees her regularly advising entrepreneurs, professionals, executives, families, and retirees. Cynthia’s expertise and insights have been featured in financial publications, TV programs, and other media. She serves on the editorial board for Advisors Group publications, whose primary audience is the financial advisory community.

A founding Legacy Advisor for the SickKids Charitable Giving Fund, Cynthia established the Kett Family Donor-Advised Fund in 2007.

Cynthia is a past volunteer Director of the Board at FP Canada, and Member of the Professional Advisors Council to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids). More recently she volunteers as a Mentor and Facilitator for the Top 200 Leadership Program at Ted Rogers Leadership Centre, Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson University), and as Judge for the annual National Ethical Leadership Case Competition (Ted Rogers School of Management).

Life outside the office

Cynthia loves spending time with her family and friends. With a taste for the outdoors and adventure, she also counts travelling, rock climbing, scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and downhill skiing among her favourite pastimes.
